Who's behind Misophonia.ai

Misophonia.ai is a family project, built by a mother and son in North Carolina. We both live with misophonia. We know the dread of a quiet dinner scene, the hand hovering over the remote, and the movie night that ends early.

One of us is a licensed clinical therapist who works with clients managing misophonia every day. The other has spent his career in product and go-to-market. So we see this problem from the inside and from the therapy room.

Our mission is simple: whether it's date night, a night in on the couch, or the search for your next binge, you should be able to relax and enjoy it. You shouldn't have to sit on edge waiting for the next trigger. And you definitely shouldn't have to explain misophonia on a first date because you had to walk out of the theater or turn off the movie halfway through.

Content warnings rarely mention eating sounds, and when they do, it's only yes or no. People with misophonia need something more useful: how many triggers a movie or episode has, and exactly when each one happens.

We're building Trigger Scores, timelines, and eventually alerts and auto-mute, carefully and in the open, with feedback from early access members. We'll never fake social proof, and we'll never claim to treat misophonia. Misophonia.ai is a viewing tool, made with care by people who need it too.
